I got it in my head to travel north of my home the other day to shoot some photos around sunset in an Amish community.
I believe I got the "Thumbs Up" because I respected the Amish wish not to have their faces photographed. The couple in the front new I'd been taking pictures of the buggy, but from a distance. Sometimes, if they're in the mood, the Amish will let you take a photo or their kids - if you ask nicely. Maybe that'll happen. I figure if I'm walking everywhere up there, maybe that will help gain their trust.
