Artist's Comments

I've photographed this bridge many times, but I like this one the best.

Fog, a bridge, and a spot of rust color... Heaven. ;)

Looks like something straight out of Silent Hill. Its beautiful yet there's something unsettling about it at the same time. Awesome photo.

Fire - essential for life and a pretty fun thing to play with as well.

i would walk onto that

Being happy is better than being sad or angry, both are necessary; they show us just how nice happiness is.

Yeah, SH! Thanks for the comment. I actually have a photo, Silent Bridge, with SH in mind. ;)

It's a public garden, and a wonderful place. But it does look haunting in the fog (which is exactly why I went shooting there that day). On the other side are Chinese Paulonia trees and a Thai pavilion. I spend at least an hour there every week.

This particular day, a staff member quizzed me as to why I was taking photos on such an ugly day. Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder. ;)

did something happen with your eye
though it may seem like a rhetorical question

Yeah, I'm having serious problems with my left eye. It's really screwed up - so I had surgery a little over a week ago on it. My eye sight is getting better but it's not even as good as it was before surgery...yet. I'm hoping it'll get better but I'm starting to have my doubts. I live in a visually distorted world. This might have a decided impact on my photography. ;)

This photo was the first one I took after the surgery.
